The Main Street Block Party is returning for seconds this afternoon and evening at The Continental Club, The Big Top, and The Mink’s front and back rooms. Armed with another great lineup, featuring Austin’s What Made Milwaukee Famous and Dallas’s hardcore cataclysm Power Trip as headliners, the daylong festival had a highly successful debut last year, with the Press giving it high marks for its compactness, timing, counterprogramming to the national acts in town, and, of course, ยญfreewheeling performances. This year’s edition features a reunion set from hardcore act Fight Pretty, who parted ways about two years ago, along with your standard local fare, including the Gold Sounds, Venomous Maximus and Bang Bangz.
