If Monday's House of Blues show is anything like last August's all-killer-no-filler HOB date - and it should be, since the reunited five-piece isn't pushing any new "product" -- you're in for a real treat. Listen to "Lust to Love," "How Much More," "Automatic" and "Unforgiven" when you're getting ready, and keep a special eye on speedy recovery to bassist Kathy Valentine, the Go-Go's resident Texan and a big wheel in Austin's Girls Rock Camp community, who has sadly been sidelined temporarily with a wrist injury. Frank Turner Monday, Fitzgerald's In the tradition of other British guitar bards like Billy Bragg, Frank Turner writes wry, stalwart acoustic folk-punk songs with an eye on society. The former Million Dead front man is touring behind the upcoming Last Minutes and Lost Evenings, his follow-up to 2011's England Keep My Bones, which put him on the map. Just because he wields an acoustic doesn't mean he's twee or sweet. He can be quite cantankerous for a 30-year-old, but that's a good thing. Monday at Fitzgerald's. CRAIG HLAVATY

2 Chainz Wednesday, House of Blues If there's anyone in music having more fun than 2 Chainz right now, it's hard to imagine who. The Atlanta native came up as the Tupac-loving Tity Boy in the duo Playaz Circle, and his uproarious wordplay that understandably came to the attention of Ludacris, who signed them to his Disturbing the Peace label. One name change later, he got bumped up to Def Jam proper for his solo debut Based on a T.R.U. Story, with rhymes on the order of "take the cameltoe and turn it into casserole" (in "Yuck") making names like Drake, Nicki Minaj, The-Dream, John Legend and Houston's own Scarface itchy to appear on a track with him. The King's Men Thursday, Reliant Arena Imagine seeing Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and the still-living (and healthy) Elvis together in concert, or Jay-Z, Kanye, Drake and Nas traded verses for a couple of hours. That's about to happen Thursday, when contemporary gospel music's current Mount Rushmore -- Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin and Houston's Israel Houghton -- bring their "The King's Men" tour to Reliant Arena Thursday. Souls will be saved, the roof will be raised, and no matter your spiritual persuasion, it may be the sweatiest musical event to come through Houston this year. Supersuckers Thursday, Fitzgerald's Rocks Off is glad we finally have an opportunity to tell this Supersuckers story. A fellow music-writer friend inquired if a certain periodical, which now publishes both in print and online, if it would be interested in a review of the crazy-ass Seattle rock and rollers' 2003 album Motherfuckers Be Trippin' The reply he got back was something to the effect of "sex, drugs and rock and roll has no place in our editorial plan." If you think that's as hilarious as we do, you know where we'll be Thursday night - if we're not checking out gut-busting soul man Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires upstairs. CHRIS GRAY
