White Ghost Shivers McGonigel's Mucky Duck, June 1

White Ghost Shivers are some ruckus-loving, kazoo and jug-harmonizing, skirt-lifting, naughty little things. From throwing whistles to causing blushed faces with their twinkling innuendo-laced lyrics, the Austin seven-piece loves to engage their audience. Their sound invokes a mix of vaudeville, jazz, hokum, ragtime and whatever else they can throw into their eclectic melting pot, and they always stir up one hell of a good time. Two shows, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. ANGELICA LEICHT

SEVEN OTHER SHOWS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER By Chris Gray

Classic Numbers: If you can't make it to A Flock of Seagulls, maybe DJ Wes Wallace will play "Space Age Love Song." (Numbers, May 31)

Glass the Sky, Second Lovers, Journey Agents, Electric Attitude: 2013 Houston Press Music Award nominees, every one. Lots more, too. Congrats! (Walters, May 31)

Disco Expressions, Allen Oldies Band: Prom night! (Continental Club, May 31)

Blue Oyster Cult: Don't fear the reaper, but be wary of the $55-75 ticket prices. With Kansas and .38 Special. (Arena Theatre, May 31)

Mobb Deep: One of the bloodiest, brawniest NYC rap duos of the '90s, Havoc and Prodigy are back with more harrowing Queensbridge tales to tell. (Warehouse Live, June 1)

Adam Bricks, Clory Martin, Andrew Karnavas: Mellow out after the festival with some local singer-songwriters. (Rudyard's, June 1)

Dave Alvin & the Guilty Men, Mike Stinson: Ex-Blaster and X man is L.A. roots-rock at its finest; Mike Stinson used to be, but he lives here now. (Crighton Theater, Conroe)
