The Dwarves' Blag Dahlia Tells One Hell Of An Emo's Story

While Rocks Off was lumbering around the artist lounge waiting for GWAR and Bad Religion's closing sets at Fun Fun Fun Fest, we caught up with Blag Dahlia of the Dwarves. He had just finished an interview with another outlet, and we were lucky enough to snag him for a few minutes.

We asked him about any crazy Houston touring stories over his years of coming to town, and luckily he had a doozy of a tale to tell us.

This story occurred somewhere in the early '90s, when the band was touring behind Blood Guts & Pussy, and were playing a gig at the dearly departed Emo's location here that shuttered in 2001.

The story involves a girl with a boyfriend, weird scars and a punchline worthy of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Don't worry, it's not as dirty as you might think.

In fact, it's almost heartwarming.
