Just minutes after pictures from Van Halen's Cafe Wha? club show in New York City hit rock blog Blabbermouth, industry site Pollstar added a June 24 date at the Toyota Center for the band. Kool & The Gang are set to open most dates on this tour. Yes, that Kool and his gang. An opener for Houston is still TBD.
A new single, "Tattoo", hits Tuesday along with a music video. Their new album, A Different Kind Of Truth, follows on February 7, the first set of fresh material since 1998's Van Halen III.
Blabbermouth has a setlist from Thursday night's show, which included a new song. David Lee Roth is seen briefly on acoustic guitar, and Eddie Van Halen looks considerably healthy than he looked in recent years. As of this writing, no videos have appeared on YouTube from the show.
UPDATE: Per this Live Nation site, the on-sale date for Houston tickets is still TBA. Rocks Off will update you on more show details as they come.
