Willie Nelson's camp has finally confirmed what Rocks Off first reported here last Friday, that longtime Nelson drummer Paul English did in fact suffer a "mild stroke." About an hour ago, Nelson tweeted the message "Paul is getting better!" A brief statement on Nelson's Web site today added that English is "being well taken care of."
According to our sources, English suffered the stroke last week on the tour bus. Apparently he refused to go to a doctor, so one was eventually brought to the bus, where a stroke was confirmed. English was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
