A Houston veterinary clinic could use a hand after a man drove his SUV drove through its doors early Sunday morning, killing one kitten and causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
Nottingham Animal Hospital owner Dr. Skip Finix told KHOU, "There was just total destruction. The vehicle had probably gone about 20 feet inside the building" and tried to back out. "Luckily the other clinic cats in the very back of the kennel were all ok, but they were pretty freaked out from the commotion.”
Another kitten underwent surgery for a broken back, according to KHOU. Fix estimated the damages at more than $100,000.
A donation page has been set up to help; the clinic states that "Our goal is to raise as much money as we can to help them cover the enormous costs associated with this terrible event and to rebuild bigger and better than ever. We all know what insurance companies are like and who knows how long it will take and what will be covered. The driver took off and we suspect he was drunk and/or the car was stolen. No charges have been filed and they still haven't caught the person."

We hope police find the dude, and we hope the clinic is quickly repaired, so Fix and his staff can get back to the wonderful work they've performed for years.
