A suspect has been arrested in the murder of a man over a backpack.
Rosendo Diaz, 28, has been charged with murder in the April 11 murder of Andrew Stewart. The pair had been arguing over a backpack at a house in the 7300 block of Tuck. Diaz left with the backpack, which we can only assume held something more valuable than t-shirts, after shooting Stewart, police said.
Stewart was in town from Chicago, police said.
Two other suspects are wanted in connection with the case, police say. Anyone with information on this case, or on the two unknown suspects, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
