A square foot of Astroturf that (it's entirely possible) Earl Campbell or Carl Mauck actually walked upon -- is there anything in the world that would make a better stocking stuffer?
Don't think too long or hard about that. Just head over to the Astrodome this weekend with twenty bucks and buy the thing.
Reliant Park is having a big Dome memorabilia sale this weekend -- just days before voters are being asked to decide the fate of the near-decrepit, but much-loved-by-some, Eighth Wonder of the World.
You can check out the new proposal for the Dome in the video above and decide whether it makes sense.
However you might feel on the fiscal sanity of the subject, the memorabilia will still be there to be purchased.
Besides the turf, you can buy a pair of Dome seats for $200; buyers are limited to four pairs, just as they're limited to four pieces of Astroturf.

Also for sale, Reliant Park says, are "furnishings, concessions equipment, and other memorabilia." It's all "as is," so buyer beware and all that.
The sale will take place Saturday in Hall E of Reliant Center. Doors open at 8 a.m., the auction part will begin at 9:30 a.m. and parking is free before 10 a.m.
