Beyonce's Mom Selling Her Kinkaid-Area Mansion

Got a spare $3.5 million lying around? You can buy the home of Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, and still have a dollar left for a McDonald's breakfast!

The 8,850-square-foot mansion is near the Kinkaid School by San Felipe and Voss. According to its official listing, it:

unfolds on 2.6 acres of rolling lawns, island pool features, ravine views, and a backdrop of natural woodland. A perfect venue for entertaining, the open floorplan includes an enormous great room with soaring ceilings; island chef's kitchen with designer finishes; lavish master suite with fireplace, study, coffee bar, marble-clad, mirrored dual baths; 4 ultra-luxurious bedroom suites; game and media rooms; gym; and guest/pool house.

It sorta says "upscale resort" to us more than it says "home," but we're not experienced in the bootylicious-financed lifestyle.

We're sure it's very nice, and if we didn't think we'd have trouble unloading our current home for $3.5 million, we'd be all over it.

Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
