Book Her

didn't take long.

New Braunfels true-crime author Diane Fanning has won the sweepstakes to sign the first book deal out of the diaper-dandy astronaut escapade, according to Radar Online.

Citing publishing-industry websites that are not for non-subscribing plebes like us, Radar says the deal was signed yesterday.

Fanning is the author of such books as Into the Water: An Astonishing True Story of Abduction, Murder and the Nice Guy Next Door and Written in Blood: A True Story of Murder and a Deadly 16-Year-Old Secret That Tore a Family Apart. Not to mention Through the Window: The Terrifying True Story of Cross-Country Killer Tommy Lynn Sells.

So there's a pretty good chance the astronaut book will feature a subtitle.

"We started pitching it literally yesterday morning," Fanning told Radar Online.

Suggestions for titles are welcome. We're thinking maybe Love Depends: The Astonishing True Story of... ah, fuck it. -- Richard Connelly
