Carlos Melendez-Solis, 46, Bayou Body Count No. 57

A sports-bar security guard was shot to death after an argument Sunday night, Houston police say.

Carlos Melendez-Solis, 46, was working security at a bar in the 8100 block of West Tidwell near 290 about 9 p.m. last night when he got in a fight with a patron.

The patron took out a gun and shot Melendez-Solis, and then escaped in a white Toyota 4Runner, about ten years old. He is described as "Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build and a mustache."

Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
