Most of us who live in Houston like to bitch about the weather. It's too hot. It's too cold. It's too dry. It's too rainy. As the saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait." For a tropical weather climate like ours, it is hard to get used to any one weather pattern for too long because it will let you down soon enough. On the other hand, if you wait around long enough, some weather you love will eventually reappear.
For me, that's cool, fall weather and it's on the way once again. Our first dose of jacket/sweater weather late last month only made me ready for more. Fortunately for me and anyone who appreciates a good cold snap, we won't have to wait much longer.
A fairly significant cold front that is now bringing rain to the Pacific Northwest should move into the area by late Sunday or early Monday bringing with it the chance of a shower and a significant cool down. Forecasters have been hinting at the possibility of highs in the 60s and lows into the upper 30s for over a week and it appears we are on track for just that, though the colder overnight temps will likely be reserved for counties to our north and west.

SHOW ME HOW
Better yet, this will be reinforced with yet another front late next week that should bring with it a beautiful, clear and cool weekend. Like it or not, autumn appears finally here to stay.
