We commented on a collection of tweets we picked up from kids who either make fun of 9/11 or who don't think it happened. And we heard back from commenters in the United States and beyond.
From Winch, who took a more all-encompassing view:
I dunno - these kids kind of have a point. 9/11 sucked, hard, but it's not good to lose our collective minds over it and turn it into a mindless patriotic flagfest. Cops can still be power-tripping assholes, firefighters can still be coked-up examples of uber-machismo, soldiers can still be mindlessly obedient violence machines. There is nothing about 9/11 that automatically means you can't be an idiot on Twitter.
