Comment of the Day: Passionately Defending Dynamo Fans

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We wrote about a Houston Dynamo fan who got tased at BBVA Compass Stadium, and one reader said the support group El Batallon should be blamed for their rowdy antics.

That invoked an impassioned response.

Uh..."alcohol-fueled behavior"? "Riots"? What fantasy world are you living in "Ole4"?? First of all smoke bombs and lewd remarks are an issue for you? Then go to church or something, NOT football. Clearly it's not for you. Second of all, you don't know a GOD DAMNED THING. Alex did NOTHING and is one of the nicest people I know. "Dynamo Management" did NOTHING to control ANYONE and isn't even acknowledging the incident. And an embarrassment to WHO? Jackass...

KEEP THE HOUSTON PRESS FREE... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
