Comment of the Day: The Shots Fired at Mollie Olgin & Mary Chapa

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We wrote about Mollie Olgin and Mary Chapa, two lesbian teens who were shot, one fatally, in South Texas.

It hit home for one reader.

my 17 year old niece came out when she was in middle school and has had to put up with some of the most outrageous bullying that I have ever heard of. I worry about her and her girlfriend all the time-especially after hearing about this I just hope that they catch this monster. It is way past time that we all stand up and call out those that do nothing but preach hatred.
