Cowboy Diaries: Trent Creager

True cowboys are hard to find, but not at the Houston Rodeo. Life on the road leads them here this time every year for the biggest rodeo in the world, where they'll ride and wrangle livestock for cash and glory. Each day, Houston News will spotlight one person with enough dirt on his boots to call himself a cowboy -- and mean it. Name: Trent Creager..

Age: 34.

Hometown:Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Event: Tie-down roping.

I've been to Rodeo Houston probably 10 times. It's been a lot. I don't even know exact anymore.

I started rodeoing when I was 11. My father and grandfather both did it, so I learned to do it too.

My favorite part of rodeoing is the profession and the friendships that you get with this job. We all know what this is like so it's a special kind of friendship. The ones from from this profession last a lifetime.

When I'm not rodeoing, I'm usually being at home and enjoying not driving. I like to play golf.

If I wasn't rodeoing, I don't know what I'd be doing. I'd probably own some kind of small business. I have no idea what kind of small business though. This is what I do. This is what I know.
