Go Have Your Advice About A New HISD Superintendent Ignored

The Houston school district has released its scheduled of community meetings where you can go and have your advice ignored about who should replace Abe Saavedra.

No, no, no -- of course your input will not be ignored. It will be included in a lengthy report put together by the search team. And as long as your advice is "Finally get a black superintendent," it will be followed to the letter, we're betting.

Here's the lineup of meetings:

April 27 -- HISD South Region Office, 4040 W. Fuqua, 6:30 pm

April 28 -- Bellaire High School, 5100 Maple, 6:30 pm

April 29 -- Wheatley High School, 4901 Providence, 6:30 p

April 30 -- Washington High School, 119 E. 39th Street, 6:30 pm

May 4 -- Revere Middle School, 10502 Briar Forest, 6:30 pm

May 5 -- Reagan High School, 413 E. 13th Street, 6:30 pm

May 7 -- Deady Middle School, 2500 Broadway. 6:30 pm

May 12 -- Attucks Middle School, 4330 Bellfort, 7 pm

Update: The last meeting has been changed to May 9, at Ryan Middle School, 2610 Elgin, at 2 pm.
