Guillermo Lopez, 29, Gunned Down in Front of Wife and Three Children, Bayou Body Count No. 105

A woman and her three children were present when her husband and their father, Guillermo Lopez, 29, was shot in front of them at 7900 South Loop East around 8 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police, an unknown male shot Lopez inside his apartment several times before fleeing. Fortunately, Lopez's wife and children were not hurt.

There was no forced entry into the apartment and no motive is known at this time. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s weighing about 150 pounds and standing 5 feet 7 inches tall.
