Police suspect bad news in the disappearance of a 20-year-old Spring mother, and they're asking for help.
Amber Elkins was last seen by her family on Sunday. Tuesday afternoon, Harris County Sheriff's deputies investigated an abandoned car in the 13900 block of Homestead Road.
"Deputies discovered that the front passenger door window had been broken out and that a substantial amount of blood was visible inside the vehicle," the HCSO says.
The car was registered to Elkins.
HCSO's description of her:
Amber Chantel Elkins is a twenty year old, white female, 5'08" to 5'09" inches tall, with black hair, and brown eyes. Elkins has two "stars" tattooed on her wrist and the word "ACE" tattooed on her ankle.

KTRK says Elkins had been in a custody battle over her child, and her mother reported receiving odd text messages from her daughter's phone after she went missing.
Anyone with information on her disappearance should contact the HCSO's Homicide Unit at 713-967-5810 or call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
