A lengthy school board meeting ended Thursday night with approval for the Apollo 20 bonuses and an all-girls school for grades 6-12.
Trustees also approved an anti-bullying resolution -- as opposed to coming out in favor of bullying, we guess -- and agreed to close the H.P. Carter Center.
Students and staff at the Carter Center will be reassigned by December, and the board will take some more time to decide what to do with the building.

The board approved the metrics for when principals in the Apollo 20 program get bonuses. The motion taking the action had been adapted to address parent concerns that general-fund money might be used to pay bonuses for the select schools in the program.
