Houston's Fun With the Hamptons Continues: Stages Extends Its Run Of Grey Gardens

Stages Repertory Theatre has just announced it has extended the Houston premiere of the Broadway Musical Grey Gardens, the musical account of Jackie Kennedy Onassis's nutty relatives, "Big Edith" Bouvier Beale and her adult daughter 'Little' Edie, who were found living in a crumbling mansion in East Hampton.

Originally the Houston show was to end on June 14, but has now been extended through June 28. Go to www.stagestheatre.com for times and ticket information.

Grey Gardens has been a phenomenal success for a musical from such unlikely subject matter -- the recording of the original Broadway cast has also been selling out around town. Reviews have been stellar: from the Houston Chronicle and from us (here's our review and a blog item about the production).
