Hundreds of passionate Houstonians gathered at Sam Houston Park near Houston’s City Hall to express their opinions and views in a “Destroy the Confederacy” Rally hosted by Black Lives Matter Houston. The rally was organized into zones: one for those against the statue titled The Spirit of the Confederacy, another for law enforcement officers trained to neutralize any aggression, and a third for those who wanted to keep the statue.
