Dreamers wanted!! To enter the glamorous world of that crazy business we call "show"!!!
The people behind Cirque Dreams Illumination, which we're guessing is a show that combines acrobatics, song, lights and dreaming, are looking For You. They're looking for you, that is, if you fit this very limited category: "aspiring performers, acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, dancers, singers and anyone else with a special talent who has ever dreamed of performing in a Broadway show," says Meredyth Garcia of Broadway Across America.
The Cirque show is running at the Hobby Center February 23 to March 7, so you'll be on stage in no time if you're picked.
Just head to the Galleria Saturday (near the Borders) for the 11 a.m. auditions.
What should you bring, beyond your dreams?
"Each participant will have up to two minutes to impress the Cirque experts with their skills. Performers requiring music should bring their own CD," Garcia says.
"The winner of the 'Run Away with Cirque Dreams' competition will be trained locally by the Cirque Dreams design team for their debut performance in Cirque Dreams Illumination and will receive six complimentary tickets to their debut performance," she adds.
You can also catch a sneak preview of the performance at the Galleria event.
