A man was shot on the southeast side of town last night and was taken to the hospital by a Good Samaritan, but later died, police say.
HPD says Jason Jacobs, 31, flagged down a motorist in the 8100 block of Lenora about 11:30 p.m. Monday and said he'd been shot. The motorist took him to Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD says it received a call from the hospital about a shooting victim, but by the time officers responded, the victim had died in surgery.
There are no known suspects or motives.
