A man seeking drugs shot and killed another man on the southwest side Sunday evening.
The 26-year-old male victim, whose name has not been released pending verification (Update: HPD has identified him as Marcus Keith Mehundrew), was sitting in a garage with two other males about 7:25 p.m. Sunday when a man walked up and asked for drugs, Houston police say.
"When the victim replied he did not have any, the unknown male suspect produced a pistol and fired several times at the victim," HPD says. "The victim ran down the driveway before collapsing."
The shooter, who fled the scene in the 7900 block of West Airport, was described as "a black male, approximately 20 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, green shorts and a black hat."
