Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out on DVD Tuesday, and we here at the Houston Press are giving them away.

Well, we're not actually giving them away -- we're making you earn them.

At 6 p.m. Friday we'll be posting one hard-ass Harry Potter trivia quiz, and the first three people to send the correct answers to hairballscontest@houstonpress.com get the DVD of the movie, which -- despite its title -- is not about Keith Richards' heroin treatments.

We took a look at the quiz, and realized even loyal Potter-ites might need some help.

So we're giving you a heads-up on one question each day, and our best guesses. Feel free to ignore our guesses and google.

Today's question:

What object does Dumbledore confess to seeing in the Mirror of Erised?

Ah, this one's easy!!! Especially since J.K. Rowling broke that little piece of news about ol' Dumbledore after the last book came out.

So what was Dumbledore shown as being his heart's desire?

a) This.

b) This.

c) This.

d) This.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
