Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.
A west Houston man has been charged with beating his baby daughter to death, police say.
Christopher Washington, 35, is charged with capital murder in the death of Sandrell Crosby, 1, about 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the 2900 block of Hayes Road.
Police say the child was brought to Texas Children's Hospital with multiple injuries and was pronounced dead.
Washington "was questioned by investigators and admitted he assaulted the baby and caused her death," HPD says.
