This week brings another chapter in the titanic showdown between Southwest Airlines, who wants to fly international flights out of Hobby, and United Airlines, the company that flies international flights out of Bush.
United knows that allowing international flights out of Hobby would be a very, very bad thing. For them.
Southwest doesn't see how competition would really be harmful for consumers. Or themselves.
City Council this week will be tackling this thorny issue, which is made thornier for them because they've received campaign contributions from Continental Airlines, which has merged into United.
Who to root for? Let's look at the Tale of the Tape.
