Just a little update on the current happenings in Rocket World.

Despite Mindy McCready not disputing any aspect of the original New York Daily News story about her affair with Rocket, a woman, Jennifer Ryan Sirbaugh, claiming to be McCreadyโ€™s roommate at the time states that Mindy was 17, not 15, and that they worked at a place called Melons. Sirbaugh was there the night McCready met Rocket, and she says it was at a place called The Bridge, not The Hired Hand Saloon, and that Rocket was 30, not 28.

Sirbaugh states that McCready and Rocket did not have sex that night. But Sirbaugh tells us that Rocket was a classy guy because he put a hundred dollar bill on the bedside table of his Fort Meyers hotel room for her.

And the Rocket doesnโ€™t have to worry about staying in shape for the Olympics as former Houston Astros first baseman Bob Watson has confirmed that Team USA wants nothing to do with the Rocket. Watson, who is the vice president of on-field operations for Major League Baseball, is working as the general manager of the USA Olympic baseball squad, and he is in charge of selecting players for manager Davey Johnson. So if Watson says the Rocket is not welcome, then the Rocket is not welcome.

But the fun news is that the Rocket is about to get the Hall and Oates treatment. Yep, Brian McNameeโ€™s attorneys have two former New York police department detectives working as investigators (no confirmation on whether their names are Sipowicz and Simone), and if the Rocketโ€™s defamation suit is not dismissed, they are going to be digging into every aspect of the Rocketโ€™s life to find any connections to steroids and HGH, and, Iโ€™m pretty sure, any dirt on Rocket that has yet to be discovered.

So Rocket, if you think itโ€™s been bad up to now, just think of how bad it will be because the private eyes, theyโ€™re watching you, they see your every move.
