Two taxi drivers dead in two days

Taxicab Murders: HPD Seeks Woman Who Called For Doomed Driver's Taxi

Houston police are looking for the woman who called for a cab, the driver of which later wound up being the second murdered taxi driver in two days.

"Shantay," HPD says, called at 2:53 a.m. Thursday looking for a cab dispatched to 1905 block of South Dairy Ashford. The driver who was dispatched, Blaize Uzoma Nwokenaka, 50, was later found murdered in the 12100 block of Overbrook.

The caller says she will be standing outside a Cricket store at that address. Police say his death and that of Mohammed Nabil Elsayed, 32, are related. Both cab drivers were robbed; HPD says at least two suspects are involved.
