The all-but-nude body of an Asian male was found in the backyard of a vacant duplex early Sunday morning, Houston police say.
Officers "investigating a separate incident were informed by witnesses that there was a body" nearby, HPD says.
The body was found wearing only a single sock and suffering from several gunshot wounds, HPD says. His identity has not been released pending verification.
A 1997 Honda Civic, believed to be related to the incident, was also found nearby.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
