A drunk driver killed a 24-year-old woman early Sunday morning, Houston police say.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was driving eastbound in the 5900 block of Clay Road about 2:20 a.m. when Porfiro Cruz Almendarez, 47, failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of her, police say.
The victim was killed on impact and Almendarez was arrested on DWI charges. The investigation is continuing, meaning more charges may be coming.
