A man came home to his southwest side apartment and discovered his roommate had been stabbed to death, police say.
The name of the victim, 24, has not been released pending notification of family members.
His roommate returned to their apartment in the 9400 block of Coventry Square about 5:45 a.m. New Year's Day and found the body. HPD says the victim suffered multiple stab wounds and "appeared to have been stabbed during a struggle."
There are no witnesses or motives at this time, HPD says. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
