Charges have been filed in the auto-pedestrian accident of a 66-year-old man killed while crossing the street near a few blocks south of Washington Avenue.
Brian Madden, 36, was driving a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup around 6:15 Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of Durham. The victim was crossing westbound on Durham when he was killed, police say.
Madden has been charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 176th District Court.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of his family, lived in Woodrid, Illinois.
