Police responding to a shooting call at the Dos Rios nightclub found a man shot in the chest early Monday morning.

They took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Witnesses stated the victim and unknown male suspect got into an argument when the suspect pulled a gun, shot the victim and fled," police say. "The suspect is described only as a tall and skinny Hispanic male in his early 20s."

The shooting took place in the 7400 block of Park Place near Telephone Road.

Identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
