Unidentified Male, Bayou Body Count No. 134

Lord, some kid is going to have nightmares for a long time.

An unidentified man was stabbed to death in a west side apartment last night, the result of a love triangle, police said.

The man, his girlfriend and her daughter had arrived at his apartment in the 9400 block of Briar Forest around 11 p.m. when the young daughter went to the closet to get a blanket.

When she opened the closet door, she saw her father -- a former boyfriend of her mother. The father then stabbed the victim multiple times with a butcher knife, killing him.

Police did not release the name of the victim pending notification of his family. They did not release names or ages of the woman or her daughter.
