Outside of a South Gessner nightclub at 4:40 a.m. is not particularly the safest place to be.

One man found that out early Saturday morning when he got in a dispute with other clubgoers and was shot to death, Houston police say.

The incident occurred outside the El Nuevo club in the 8400 block of South Gessner. A group of clubgoers reported being accosted by a man outside the club; after some scuffling the man went away and returned with a gun. He shot one member of the group.

Fox 26 reports the man had "made some disrespectful remarks to a group of women."

Police are looking for a red Ford 150 pick-up with Rhode Island plates 18C-XJ4. Not many of them around Houston, we're guessing.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
