Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.
A strange set of circumstances left an unidentified male dead from a shooting on the northeast side early Sunday morning.
Houston police say the victim, whose name was not released, was traveling southbound in the northboud lanes of Homestead about 3:30 a.m. when, perhaps not surprisingly, he got into an accident.
"After the accident, an unknown male suspect began shooting into the victim's vehicle, striking the victim," HPD says.
Police have no info on a suspect, but they say they believe there were several witnesses to the incident.
Investigators are requesting any witnesses to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
