An early-hours argument led to a fatal shooting in a northwest side apartment Sunday, Houston police say.

Rodney Wayne Allen, 21, has been charged with murder in the incident, which happened about 5 a.m. in the 5700 block of Guhn.

Police say Allen was visiting the victim's apartment when he began arguing with "a female also visiting the victim," HPD says.

"When the victim asked Allen to leave the apartment, Allen pulled a gun and shot the victim," police say. His body was found dead on a sidewalk in the apartment complex.

Allen then left and is being sought by authorities. The identity of the victim has not been released.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rodney Wayne Allen is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
