Ain't no party like a Tuesday-night party on the south side.
Police got a call shortly after midnight this morning about a loud party in the 4400 block of Allison.
"As officers and security guards attempted to disperse a large crowd," HPD says, "several gunshots were heard."
A man whose identity has not been released was found injured from several gunshot wounds and taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died. One suspect took off and was chased by police but got away.
"At this time, it has not been determined if the male pursued by officers is the suspect in this case, as it appears several people discharged weapons at the scene," HPD says.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
