A Month of Chocolate: 29 Ways to Indulge

In January, we brought you a Month of Oatmeal in honor of National Oatmeal Month. That was nice and all, but February's here. And in February, it's all about the chocolate baby. From complimentary s'mores at a poolside bar to a Snickers beignet (is this real life?), here are 29 ways to indulge:

Wed. Feb. 1: Swap your regular cup of Joe for a Cinnamon Spice Mocha at Inversion Coffee House.

Thurs. Feb. 2 : Warm up with Quattro's S'more Winter Happy Hour. Head to The Four Seasons' fourth-floor pool bar for cocktails and two complimentary s'mores.

Fri. Feb. 3: Sip on a Godiva Chocolate Martini and enjoy the artsy, European vibe at Zimm's Martini & Wine Bar.

Sat. Feb. 4: Celebrate Valentine's Day early with a trip to the wineries. The Blue-Bonnet Wine & Chocolate Trail offers two wine tastings paired with a chocolate delicacy at 10 different wineries for only $25 (or $45 for two!).

Sun. Feb. 5: Pick up Superbowl treats at Crave Cupcakes. The store is offering Giants vs. Patriots cupcakes for game day.

Mon. Feb. 6: Wash down some Bangers and Mash with a Chocolate Stout at Red Lion Pub.

Tues. Feb. 7: Bring home a chunk of homemade Chocolate & Peanut Butter Fudge from Chocolat du Monde.

Wed. Feb. 8: Check out Central Market's Chocolate Festival. From Feb 8-14, the entire store will be bombarded by chocolate, from chocolate-maker meet and greets to wacky concoctions like cocoa-dusted cheese.

Thurs. Feb. 9: Enjoy a picnic lunch. Grab a boxed lunch at Picnic Restaurant, complete with a homemade cookie (get a chocolate one, of course).

Fri. Feb. 10: Top off dinner with a Snicker Beignet at BRC Gastropub.

Sat. Feb. 11: Kick off your Mardi Gras celebrations in Galveston. Grab an old-fashioned chocolate malt at La King's Confectionary to sip on while watching the Mardi Gras Art Car Parade.

Sun. Feb. 12: Try Canopy's award-winning Hazelnut Tart, a sinful dessert made of chocolate cream, crunchy hazelnut praline, Nutella sorbet and nutty caramel sauce.

Mon. Feb. 13: Need a last minute Valentine's Day Gift? Pick up a box of spiced Venezuelan chocolates from Araya Artisan Chocolate.

Tues. Feb. 14: Happy Valentine's Day! Whip up some chocolate mousse to share with your loved ones.

Wed. Feb. 15: Wipe away the hump day blues with a Youngberry Chocolate, Yard House's blend of Timmerman's Framboise and Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

Thurs. Feb. 16: Sip on a cocktail at T'afia and enjoy complimentary savory bites and sweets like bittersweet chocolate truffles.

Fri. Feb. 17: Treat yourself to a chocolate shake at Avalon Diner, our 2011 Best Milkshake winner.

Sat. Feb. 18: Dig into a Chocolate Lovers Delight waffle at Harry's Restaurant & Café.

Sun. Feb. 19: Cap off a leisurely Sunday brunch at Hugo's with churros dipped in hot chocolate.

Mon. Feb. 20: Track down Chocolat d'Arte's food truck for some fantastic chocolate truffles.

Tues. Feb. 21: It's Fat Tuesday! Get out your best beads and celebrate Mardi Gras with a Chocolate Cake Shot (or three).

Wed. Feb. 22: Head to the Eatsie Boys truck for a Mint Chocolate Maestro gelato.

Thurs. Feb. 23: Kick off Rodeo season with the HLSR's World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. Try last year's Gold Buckle Foodie Award winner Granny's Cheesecake & More's chocolate-dipped cheesecake for dessert.

Fri. Feb. 24: Relax and indulge with some dessert wine and a warm, chocolate soufflé at Tango & Malbec.

Sat. Feb. 25: Snack on a Black and White Cookie from Three Brothers Bakery and pickup some fresh Challah for tomorrow.

Sun. Feb. 26: Make a dessert to die for. Use the challah bread for a Chocolate Challah Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel Sauce.

Mon. Feb. 27: Cool down after a run by treating yourself to a Dark & Dreamy Chocolate yogurt at Sweet Lola's Yogurt Bar (bonus - the yogurt is fat-free).

Tues. Feb. 28: Enjoy a chocolate croissant from French Riviera Bakery and Cafe for breakfast.

Wed. Feb. 29: Celebrate Heart Month. Attend a heart-healthy Red Wine & Dark Chocolate Evening at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Sponsored by Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, this free event is the perfect way to learn about heart health while enjoying some treats (after a month of chocolate, you'll need the advice).
