Heather Muster doesn't just work at Market Square Bar & Grille (311 Travis St); she practically lives there. "I work every day Monday through Saturday," she tells us. "Luckily we're closed on Sundays." Market Square is her first bartending job, and she's been enjoying it there for about six years now. Before that, she was a cocktail waitress at several popular establishments around town, most notably The Laff Stop. And she has some crazy stories to tell.
"I made out with Colin Quinn once," she laughs. "Actually it was more just like a quick little whatever. He was really handsome for an older man." When pressed for more gossip, she admitted that Joe Rogan was "arrogant" and Demetri Martin was "cool." "I always bought everyone a shot, so that's how I would start talking to them," she explains.
Just when I thought those stories couldn't be topped, Heather casually mentioned that when she lived in Alaska for a brief time, she was nearly squashed by a dog sled team. Luckily, she got out of the way in the nick of time, moved to Houston, and is now available to create excellent cocktails for people in search of a laidback bar that also serves up a mean burger.

Though Heather admits that she mostly deals with draught beer, she was happy to mix up her signature Key Lime Pie shot, which is a blend of vanilla vodka, triple sec and lime juice. Mouth-puckering at first, the shot quickly mellows and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Probably a lot like a make-out session with Mr. Quinn.
