Best Deli: Pete’s Fine Meats and Deli
Texas, unlike our friends on the East Coast, is not inundated with great delis. Instead, we lean on the fact that there is one thing we do know: meat. Pete’s Fine Meats and Deli is perhaps the best butcher in the city with competition quality brisket, aged steaks and just about any other flesh you could sink your teeth into. But do not sleep on them as a deli. They produce some fine sandwiches like any good deli, but what sets them apart is the variety. Hoagies with steak, ribs, sausage and everything in between are some of the favorites. And, let’s be honest, if you want some sliced corned or roast beef, you probably want it from a place that has some of the best quality beef in town.
