Best Vibe Dining: Toca Madera

Houston has seen an onslaught of “vibe dining” experiences in the past few years, as restaurants began combining upscale fare with an element of nightlife. Nobody is doing it better than Noble 33’s Mexican steakhouse, Toca Madera, which opened its colossal doors on the ground floor of The Pavilion at The Allen earlier this summer. Score a coveted reservation and you can transport yourself to Tulum with its lush, sexy interior, flaming cocktails and nightly entertainment including nightly fire dancers, live guitarists to local and international DJs. Then there’s the seriously tasty fare — fresh guacamole hit with pomegranate and lime pepitas, Maine lobster wonton tacos, fire-roasted branzino dripping in chipotle mezcal butter, and the showstopping steaks, from a Japanese Wagyu flight to the 40-ounce tableside flaming Tomahawk.
