"So in other news whole foods Kirby just caught on fire while I was inside," wrote Danielle Clark on her Twitter account at 2:20 p.m.
A few minutes later, the picture to the right was snapped by former Houston Press employee Kristen Majewski and posted to her Twitter account along with the following text: "Whole foods is on fire!"
The fire was confirmed by a Whole Foods employee, and appears to be contained and mostly confined to the seasonal pumpkin display at the front of the store.
"There were five fire trucks here, but it's under control now," he reported over the phone.
According to its Twitter account, the Whole Foods store at 2955 Kirby is currently closed while the fire damage is cleaned up, but will be reopened to the public at 5 p.m.
Those pumpkins aren't jack-o-lanterns yet, people! Be careful!
