I found myself eating brunch at Pappasito's Cantina (2536 Richmond) on a Sunday. The menu has an entree called the Especialidad Pappasito's, which is supposed to serve two, but since they are only charging half price on Sundays right now, I decided to get the whole thing for myself.
The dish comes with torta bread, Canadian bacon and poached eggs covered with a green chile hollandaise sauce. It comes with fajitas, guac and beans. I know this place is a chain, but the food is actually tasty. The margaritas are made with fresh lime juice, and during Sunday brunch, you can get 99 cent mimosas. Hangover or not, the torta/Eggs Benedict thing is just short of amazing,
I ate the whole thing. I love it when a kitchen can make a hollandaise sauce correctly. It should have the consistency of gravy. That's what it is: egg yolk-butter gravy! The fajitas are nothing to laugh at either. I never met a marinated beef chunk dipped in melted butter that I didn't like.

The only problem I have with Little Pappasito's Cantina is this: Do you sit at the bar or a table? And is it going to be a mimosa or margarita kinda morning?
