I love this place! Having lived in NO for five years, I can confirm it is definitely authentic, and so so so much better than a snocone! Plus, how can you beat $2 for more snoball than you can shake a brain freeze at? :)
And as Gm4ads notes, MAM's also serves snoballs for dogs. Apparently, they come in ice and chicken stock varieties. Well, at least we can all drool together...
