Pot Luck

Comment of the Day

This week, Mandy Oaklander had a lively three-part chat with the chef at Theo's, the restaurant formerly known as One's a Meal. In addition to a mention of John, the ever-present Greek waiter, we learned about food we didn't even know they served. We weren't alone.

John, loveable and cantankerous, is my favorite restaurant curmudgeon. He's also very good at what he does. Thanks for the trout pic....no idea they had that.

We didn't either, octavior, and we've been making late night visits to the various locations of One's a Meal for going on 20 years. In fact, like others have pointed out about John, he knows our order by heart and is always quick with a joke. On the down low, we love their grilled cheese sandwiches after the bars close on the weekends. Give it a try if you need to soak up some alcohol after 2 a.m. this weekend. Cheers!
