Don't Miss Out ... Get Your Brewfest Tickets NOW!

Brewfest is only two weeks away, so we can finally reveal our awesome list of beers and breweries and the stellar band lineup.

In case you missed our first post, the festival will take place on October 5 from 2 to 7 p.m. in and around Silver Street Station. Inside, there will be an alarming amount of beer, while outside we'll have live music and some of Houston's favorite food trucks. Parking can be a hassle, so to save you the trouble we're offering a free shuttle from The Drake at 1902 Washington to Brewfest a few blocks away. Park at The Drake and ride the Wave any time between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

If you haven't yet bought tickets (shame on you), there's still time, and TODAY, September 26, we're offering a special $5 discount when you use the promo code HPBEER at checkout. Click here for all of the information.

The soundtrack for your beer consumption will be provided by August West with Mitchell's Cut, Texas Rezurrection, Justin Van Sant and Keyun and the Zydeco Masters.

Local breweries 8th Wonder, Buffalo Bayou, Karbach, Leprechaun Cider, Lone Pint, Saint Arnold and Southern Star will be on hand with plenty of beer to go around, including some seasonal varieties. Other Texas breweries that will be in attendance include Adelbert's Brewery and Independence Brewing Co. out of Austin; Rahr & Sons Brewing Company, from Fort Worth; and, of course Spoetzl Brewing, makers of Shiner Bock and other varieties.

This year, for the first time, Brewfest is holding a seasonal beer competition. Some of the participating breweries will enter their seasonal pumpkin ales and Oktoberfest lagers in a taste-off, and Brewfest attendees will vote on the winner.

If all that drinking makes you hungry, a few food trucks, including Tha 1 Truck and Yummy Dog, will be serving treats including buffalo wings and bratwurst. Houston Press is also stringing together some fun pretzel necklaces (think candy necklaces, but with big 'ol pretzels) for convenient munching.

We're sure it's going to be an exciting and delicious event, so get your tickets today using the promo code HPBEER. See ya there!
